Traditional Tortilla Chips - Blue Corn
Ancient Crunch has been experimenting with a blue corn version of MASA. Since the corn and tortillas are completely different, they thought there'd be a lot of tweaking to get the process right.
But it turns out tallow is a magical substance that makes anything you cook in it absolutely delicious. Their second batch turned out perfect--they are a bit crunchier and nuttier, like most blue corn chips are.
The success of this experiment left us with a few hundred bags worth of MASA Blue, so and they decided to share the love.
